Subnautiq treats stewardship as responsibility for careful documentation, preservation, and qualified interpretation—not ownership or proof of historical certainty.
The Subnautiq Registry is being developed to record available provenance, context, observations, media, and relationships associated with documented objects, places, research, and field activity.
Authenticated contemporary captures may include machine-captured provenance. Legacy Photographs predate that workflow and are preserved as media with available provenance and qualified assertions; preservation does not establish date, place, authorship, subject identity, or historical authenticity.

OBJECTS
Objects begin with many of the same habits that guide the fieldwork: observation, utility, and restraint. Subnautiq products draw from the environments, equipment, and visual language surrounding that work. What emerges is a separate line of objects shaped by the practice, while the records and material that informed it remain distinct.
